Thomas Blackshear
“A world-class illustrator, Thomas Blackshear is well known for his limited edition prints and collector’s plates. Now his extraordinary versatility as a fine artist is exhibited in a third dimension: limited edition sculpture.
Thomas Blackshear’s Ebony Visions collection is a master work of romantic symbolism. As with his paintings, these sculptures demonstrate Blackshear’s incredible sense of design, unique eclectic style, and mastery of color.
In Thomas Blackshear’s Ebony Visions, the artist has created a collection of sculptures that reflect not only his artistic vision as a Black man but also his unique vision of Black people everywhere. Thomas Blackshear’s Ebony Visions also reflects the emotions and aspirations we all share regardless of the color of our skin.”

“I wanted to make sure that Black people could have a figurine line that they could be proud of and that everybody could relate to.”
Figurine Care
Each figurine is made of hand cast resin material, a relatively trouble free material that should be cared for much like porcelain.
Figurines should be dusted regularly, using a light touch and a soft clean brush (like a water color brush), used only for dusting figurines. if the piece is kept dust free, cleaning is not required.
The piece can be wiped gently with a damp cotton ball or soft cloth. Detergents will harm paint and should not be used on the resin. Air dry in a safe place before storage.
